Week 3, July 2009

Weddings, weddings, weddings! 'Tis the Season!!! This being the 26th year of shooting weddings for me, I'm still drawn to them for the opportunity to create images that somehow "break the mold". I've seen the styles change over the years for sure. The styles of dresses, tuxedos, bouquets, wedding albums... The technology changes as well!! From being a full "medium format" film shooter, to now being full digital, its been a journey that's still on-going. Each and every wedding is so unique, no two alike. I read once that being a wedding photographer is much like being a combat photographer, you pack your gear, even gear you might not need, and you head out, not knowing excatly what the day will present to you. That's what keep them exciting!!
