Week 2, April 2009

Fondly nick named "Scooter" this is my toy, a 2004 Yamaha V-Star 650. Not a hot rod by any stretch, but fun to ride, and fun to shoot as well!!

This image was created as part of "painting with light" demonstration done for last night's photography class. Painting with light is a fun, almost magical technique using a not-so-typical light source (flashlight, sparkler, laser pointer etc) in a completely dark environment, to create images with VERY interesting lighting. Not something you can do with a typical camera/flash set-up.

The recipe: Canon 5D MkII, 24-105/4 L Series lens, ISO 200, F8, 30-45 second exposure
Light source: $10 Mag Light flashlight

New dates just added!!
