Week 4, January 2009

A little movement, lots of love, a couple that knows how to dance, a cool setting... we had it all!! Eveything except music anyway. This image was fun for all!! We had some laughs, as the couple "imagined" a tune in their heads, and took over the floor of this hotel lobby, I was pretty much hanging over the stair rail to get the angle, without obstruction.

Although we photograph with "stills", portraying a little motion to add life to the sometimes static image, creates a little drama. The results can be somewhat unpredictable as well, which brings back that element of surprise when viewing the images after the shoot (just like in the film days, when we had to actually wait for processed film and prints to see what our camera captured)

The recipe: Canon 5D MKII, 24-120 L-series lens, 1600 iso, F5.6, 1.3 second shutter speed.

"Shot of the Week" is brought to you by Christopher M. Johnson Photography as a way of sharing images that were a part of the workflow for that given week. In this weekly posting, I hope to share with you interesting images of all types, including Wedding, Portrait, Commercial and whatever else the lens might see.
Also in the posting will be announcements for promotions, events, classes and other points of interest.

Thanks, I hope you enjoyed the "Shot of the Week"
