The Price of Cool

"Getting ink" for some means to have an article written about them in the newspaper or other periodical. For others it's a form of artistic expression, with their own skin being the canvas beneath the artist's tattoo machine.
Not for the faint of heart, getting a tattoo is a painful procedure. Depending on where the artwork is being done, how large the tattoo is, and what the individual's tolerance for pain is, all play a part in how long the masterpiece will take. Some will have their ink done over series of 1 hour sessions, with time to heal in between (reminds me of serious dental work). Some will endure the needle for as much as 5 to 6 hours per sitting.

I have to thank Cam (under the gun) and Chris from Sacred Heart Tattoo in Vancouver for letting me in on this session. Very Cool!
