Week 1, April 2006

Tender Touch

As a "people" photographer, I have the pleasure of sharing so many facets of peoples lives. From graduation portraits, to engagement portraits, to wedding portraits, to maternal portraits, to children's portraits (not necessarily in that order) and then family photography, which in itself has so many different stages.

One of my favourite types of images from children/family portraits is close ups of the tiny body parts, or as I fondly refer to them as
"Baby Bits". I really love the tiny scale of a newborn's hands and feet to that of his parent's. (Reid is 6 weeks old in this picture)

Reid's mother, Marion, is a good friend of mine. She is actually the one who introduced me to my wife (did I ever thank you Marion?)

Thanks again Marion and Norm, for letting me be a part of capturing your first family portraits.

"Shot of the Week" is brought to you by Christopher M. Johnson Photography as a way of sharing images that were a part of the workflow for that given week. In this weekly posting, I hope to share with you interesting images of all types, including Wedding, Portrait, Commercial and whatever else the lens might see.
Also in the posting will be announcements for promotions, events, classes and other points of interest.

Thanks, I hope you enjoyed the "Shot of the Week"
