"By popular demand, the next level in Photo Classes has been added."

For the photographer looking to take things to the next level, this course will introduce intermediate skills and techniques. Students MUST have taken prior "Level 1" courses to attend.

Here's a breakdown of just some the topics covered...

»Exposure - Delve deeper into managing exposure in all lighting conditions, including low light situations.

»Digital - workflow, looking at shooting RAW as the only format. File management and a closer look at processing this excellent file format using Adobe Lightroom.

»Studio - an introduction to working with studio lights, including a variety of ways to modify the quality of the light. Students will get a chance to use the studio lights to achieve a well lit portrait, and still life.

»Composition - learning to look for composition all around us, planning for desired results.

»Portraiture - "portraits by design". Taking the "chance" out of achieving an interesting character portrait, by planning the elements to get it there.

»Flash - discover how using flash (correctly) can improve your images

»Night Photography - field trip to explore the fascinating possibilities of images with long exposures.

 

 

PREREQUITES:
Students MUST have taken CMJPHOTO's Introduction to Better Photography (or equivelant).

Students must have a Digital SLR. Other recommended equipment: Tripod and Adobe Lightroom Software.

Students should be prepared for a little "homework" between classes, as there will be an assignment relating to the topic of the week.

 

The course runs for 8 classes in total, which includes 6 classroom sessions, plus 2 field trips. (date TBA). Students will be given assignments from each class which will be critiqued at the beginning of the following session.
